Department of Life Sciences, Shiv Nadar Institution of EminenceI did my undergraduate degree in a discipline related to mechanical engineering at NSIT, University of Delhi. A short internship at NPL Delhi motivated me to join the Nanoscale Science PhD program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. There, I worked in Dr. Marcus Jones' lab, developing ultrafast time-resolved experiments.
I was clueless for a couple of years and then moved again, this time into biology. I first worked as a postdoctoral researcher with Dr. Akash Gulyani, exploring fluidity biosensors, and later with Dr. Sunil Laxman at inStem, Bangalore, in a flailing attempt to understand cellular metabolism. Miraculously, I have ended up starting a lab in the Department of Life Sciences at SNIoE, Delhi-NCR. That habit of crossing fields now shapes the lab's identity.
